Welcome to Hardwick & Cambourne Community Primary School
We are a highly inclusive, creative and caring school that believes in helping all our children discover their hidden strengths, face challenges to improve themselves and become the best human-beings they can be. We believe in offering all pupils, regardless of ability, a full, balanced and exciting curriculum, which will help them in their future lives. We value the children’s wellbeing, mental health and rights and offer pastoral support and guidance for them in becoming happy and positive citizens. Children with Special Educational Needs are very well provided for and enjoy their education. Check out our school values and vision to gain a better understanding of what we stand for.
We are an unusual local authority school that operates from two campuses; one in the village of Hardwick and the other from our campus in Cambourne. We cater for the formal education of children from 3 – 11 years primarily for the villages of Hardwick and Cambourne, but with a diverse catchment from across the local area. We offer provision for 3 year olds at our Cambourne Campus in our Nursery class. For more details about our nursery provision, please link here. We are one school though, and this allows us great flexibility in what we offer to the pupils. We have some specialist staff that work across both campuses and a very large and effective school leadership team.
It is important that parents feel welcome in the school. We strive for great relationships between home, school, parents, children and staff. A good understanding between school and home helps build a child’s confidence and development in school. The school depends on the co-operation, support and involvement of parents. If you need information or have any anxieties, please call in at school to arrange to meet me or a member of the leadership team. Alternatively you can arrange a meeting by telephone with the school office. The staff in the school will always be willing to help.
We are committed to being a community school and as such various groups use our school buildings during the day and in the evenings across both of our sites. If you would like to either offer some different extended provision out of school hours, or simply would like to hire the facilities, then please speak to the school office.
